Bli8, would be really cool if they can incorporate LC.

IMHO, what Tiago said was accurate and very important. I just drove a friends GTR over the weekend and can say the DSG tranny blipping on downshifts was awesome sounding and worked adequately. A TCU that will blip the rpms on the downshift is likely not in the cards until the arrival of PDK for the turbo, but we shall see. BTW, the GTR tranny wouldn't downshift in manual mode when redlining the car (ie. really pushing it hard). Maybe the PDK version with the TT will be better. Anyway, for now I'd just be happy with a quicker shifting car (both upshifting and downshifting). The blipping of the throttle on the downshift, while viscerally exciting isn't critical.

The TCU already blips the throttle under hard braking.

Yes,

We launched our Stage 1 TCU upgrade several months ago. Stage 1 incorporates the following functions:

- Increased Rev Limit - 7000 RPMS*
- Increased TQ Limiters
- Quicker Up and Down Shifting

Price $1000

*The ECU rev limiters must also be calibrated to allow higher TCU shift points. We offer various different ECU/TCU programing options to suite your specific requirements

Our development partner EXELIXIS (http://www.dynoexelixis.gr) in Greece has conducted over 10,000 test kilometers of driving on 2 different cars with this TCU upgrade. The development cars were both fitted with 700 + HP engine upgrades. One car has made countless 1/4 mile launches recording a best time of 10.6 seconds @ 214 KPH (132.68 MPH) See the following thread to see this car in action - posted by the car owner and 6-speed member - Kakimoto - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...130-79mph.html The additional test car is a top speed car that gets constantaly pushed at high loads and RPM levels for prolonged periods of time.

Hope this information helps.

Hah look at that thing launch! I'm really glad that as usual it's been thoroughly field tested and proven already. It's a nice break-thru for Tip owners indeed. I only wish I'd had something like this back in my 996TT Tip drag racing days eh!

Can the tcu be calibrated without increasing the rev limiter?

YES 100%. We can calibrate our Stage 1 TCU upgrade without changing the shift RPM. This will give you all of the other improvements: improved shift speed and increased TQ limits and stock shift rev limit.

I do have one question. When you increase the rev limit does the ecu record an over rev since technically you are above the limit?
