I had Tubi on my F355 and it was such a great sounding car. I've heard a few exhausts on the TT but I'm looking for a higher pitch wail. I know the TT flat six will never sound the same as a Ferrari V8 and I just don't want any rumble or drone in the car. Do does anyone have any sound clips of the Tubi?

I am very happy for you . I had the Tubi and now have the Tubi race. I love the race version and find it deeper at low throttle and ferocious at the high. Asks N2it as well . He and I both travelled the multiple exhaust route . I can e mail you sound clips of both . You can't lose with either.

Guards red is an awesome choice . You are going to have a blast.

My new pics

All:

Once again, thank you for the insightful feedback on my decision whether to keep my 2006 C2S Cab or to buy a new 2009 TT. As many indicated, it's a completely different beast. For my personality and driving wants for my "toy" car, I could not be more pleased.

It was even telling when I passed a Gallardo spider today and grinned not with envy, but with pleasure and gratitute for what I'm now driving. This is not a knock on the Gallardo--it's a great car--but it was an incredible experience not envying that car and taking complete pleasure in my choice of supercar.

I attach pics. The lighting was not great, and so the true nature of the Guards Red does not shine through, but you get the point.

Also, I'm considering the Tubi vs. Fabspeed & other exhaust. As previously mentioned, I need the race car sound and the stock exhaust is probably intended to fulfill those who purchased this as a DD. I'm not looking for blow-your-head-off-loud, that's taken care of with my Kleemann equipped C63 AMG.

Cheers

Thanks all for the kind welcome!

Now on to the mods. I did not realize people were running 700 even 1000 HP...wow.

Later tonight I'll likely search through the old posts on the mods. I'm probably looking to only drop maybe $8K or so, which I presume will bring me headers, high flow cats and an ECU chip.

I'm sure there are dozens of heated threads on this topic, so should be a fun exploration.

hey taylorcoleman
i dropped about 12K for my mods! (remember it's therapy) i did Tubi exhaust system (race: headers, cats, & mufflers) along with GIAC retune.
i'm @ about 600hp gonna do intercoolers and Werks1 airbox later on
(have to refill mod funds) hope this helps. good luck with the research, this topic is LOADED with info (you WILL get a headache) phil has also done Fabspeed; great system less $$

Sadly, no. I have a Kleemann K2 package C63 AMG that puts down 540 at the crank. I'm going to run my C63 against my stock TT before the mods just out of curiosity.

As someone previously stated, it's therapy

Seriously, however, the stock exhaust has a modest note, and we all know is quite restrictive on the back pressure. So headers and high flow cats w/ mufflers makes sense from an audio & performance perspective. Then, what's another $1,400 or so to chip it.

That's where I hope remain for some time. Then again, an I/C upgrade appears to be $3,700ish, and from what I've read thus far, has nice improvements as well.

And so it goes, ad infinitum.

It may be cheaper for me to lease a 2008 A8L that hasn't moved fromthe lot and hire a driver. Therapy could then be talking to a therapist on my cell while multi-tasking on some projects for work.

Sometimes I long for the simplicity of my 1989 Ford Taurus (GL mind you, not the SHO).
