Alignment Questions?

I am the forum member that recently wrote the story of how I ran over something on the freeway. The right side of the car ran over some type of huge pipe.It did not pop the tires but when I got it to the dealer we found out both front and back rims on the passenger side where bent and I needed new tires plus something with the steering.Thank God the insurance is picking up the bill which is now at 7000. My dealer says the car is still not aligning properly so they have to replace the front shock. My question is will this car be fine when I get it back or did I do such damage that the car will never be properly repaired. It does not seem that big of a deal but I am a little freaked out right know.Am I being paranoid??? Thanks for the answers in advance!

although you took a hard hit and damaged wheels and possibly some suspension parts as long as they replace enough parts to get it aligned to spec you should be fine...suspension parts are replaceable...it would be very unlikely that you did any harm to the frame

Anyone else have any other thoughts or did this answer pretty much sum it up?

Pretty much the only time you can't align the car is after frame damage, when something gets slightly tweaked and then you are always correcting for it.

If only parts were damaged, as soon as they are replaced you re-align the car and you are back as good as new.

Nothing to worry about.

100% your car will be perfect.
