pics of y-pic you asked for

Sorry for misspelled title i guess u can't edit the title. So here's some pics of the IPD y-pipe and pleneum and enlarged throttle body i had done at BBI last week as posted on my previous thread titled "mods rd # 3". To answer some ? that were asked ,no clutch slipping yet but have been advised it might happen down the road ,from what i was told the throttle body is now 82mm not sure what stock one is and the y-pipe has an extra 126 cfm from stock also the shape of the y creates better flow , they also tweaked my ecu slightly for the mods i have. The y-pipe also has a ceramic baked finish which helps dissipate heat, notice they also did the same finish on the exhaust tips, also had a light tint on the white part of the rear lights ,side markers & front turn signals this doesn't show much in the pics but looks great in the sun & blacked out turbo emblem.New vanity plate also came in i had to the get little creative as 911 Trbo was taken but couldn't resist the whale tail option we have in CA.Plan on going back soon too have Joey tweak my suspension in.

y-pipe is a good idea. My service tech has seen 2-3 stock ones that have split and caused a leak

Sorry to be such a pain in the @ss, but can you measure the diameter pipe? It seems that, beside the more pronounced Y shape and the bigger TB junction, it has a bigger diameter right from the IC pipes. Here is a pic of a fabs intake car for a better y-pipe comparo:

How much can a y-pipe help? Did you already have bigger turbos and IC?

I know i'm asking this question again but i still did not got a clear answer:

What is the difference of the IPD plenum and the IPD Y pipe?

Or do they just go together?

If we are talking about two different things can someone tell the difference?

thx

No dyno upgraded turbo or IC yet ,the plenum is a separate item after the throttle body it's a t shaped piece ,as far as measuring the y-pipe I'm a contractor thus the misspelling ,so if you want me to measure it with my trustee 30 ft stanley i can try when i get home.

The air gets in by the intake box. Then splits the flow for each turbo (2x). Then it cross the intercooler of each side (2x) and the air flow meet again due to the y-pipe (silver pipe in red car and black pipe in silver car). The reason for this is because our cars just have one throttle body. After the throttle body the air flow splits again through the plenum (stock form has T-shape and people usually upgraded it with y-shape to improve the flow), because the air flow need to feed both sides of the engine. Due to the boxer engine concept, it has 3x cylinders (left side) and 3x cylinders (right side) that work in a opposite and flat direction.

Jiaim, thx for the info and photos, What would this mod cost and what power should i expect?

If i understood correctlly, the best way to go is to do all three at once

-Plenum
-Y pipe
-throttle body
