Aside from cost is there any negatives to these lugs? ie do they hold torque differntly or need to be re torqued more often? are they more brittle then steel or do they back out is there any special handling required with ti?

Your zone wheels don't work with the stock lugs? Mine do... Those lugs bolts ar nice looking.

No negative other than cost. People have paid anywhere from about $850 in 2007 to up to $1500 in 2009. The prices increased due to the less favorable Dollar-Euro exchange rate and the increased costs for titanium.

The lug bolts shown are 5mm longer than the stock 997TT bolts and fit without issue. The bolts shown are actually based on the Cayenne lug bolt design (aluminum sleeve has a ridge vs. smooth for the 997TT, but again they fit without issue. There are engineering drawing for bolts that are exactly like the stock 997TT bolts but I have never seen any actual bolts that meet those specs.

Poggipolini will engrave whatever you want on the bolts as long as there is no trademark infringement. The first batches had "Porsche Titanium" engraved but Porsche asked them not to use their name. Now, most read, "Poggipolini Titanium." I ordered mine directly from the factory and it was a huge hassle. I think they are only dealing with bulk orders now.

I have had no issues with loosening (and I check pretty often). I torque to 96 lb-ft as per the Poggipolini recommendation.
