997tt TCU

I would like to remove the TCU from my car, but actually i don't know where it is.
Any help where i can find it?

its under the right seat, you need to remove the seat to get it. Its a Siemens unit

you do not have to remove the seat, and its not exactly under the right seat, as I can recall

This is how my Porsche dealer removed the TCU from my car

Dealer always make it hard from their "PORSCHE REPAIR MANUAL"..Take longer time to do and charge you more labour cost..

My dealer changed my stage 3 clutch by drop the engine off and charged me 13 hours of labour.... Will never ask them to do anything anymore..

eliminates torque limiter
helps the car change gear without hitting the limiter

Ok guys, i tried to find this small black box under the seat but there is nothing, is it under the carpet or some where else?
All what i found is one metal box

Anyone know how much does it TCU box cost new ??? , so we dont have to send ours from abroad...

The TCU is located within the B-pillar on the passenger's side of the car (for left hand drive cars). There are some fragile parts that need to be removed when accessing it. I would recommend having a Porsche certified tech do the removal and reinstallation. Here are some images for reference:

It's transmission controller for tiptronic vehicles.
