Switzer 750 information

Hi,

Im playing with the idea of a 997 Turbo and adding the Switzer 750 conversion - getting it shipped to the uk and sending the ecu to tim to get it mapped.

Does this set up run on race gas as based in the uk its quite hard to come by,

The best pump gas you can get here is Bp 98 Ron Rated - im not sure how that compares to the 93 octane pump gas you guys have out there?

Thanks for any help.

Bp 98 is pretty similer to the US 93.That is the highest octane pump gas I can get in NZ as well.I use it for my EVT700 without sport model.Very fine.if you want that "750" you must use race gas..

if you wait for just a couple of weeks, Switzer will be launching their new 800/850 kit. this package will make 800 HP (at the crank) on 93 octane pump gas. it will make at least 850 HP (at the crank) on race gas. We are finalizing all the detail of this kit on my 997 GT2 right now. We will have an official press release with full feature write up from various editors this month. Stay tuned. The 700/750 kit is a fantastic kit at an affordable price and is an unbeatable value. but if we truly want the best that money can buy, the 800/850 kit is going to rock!

the 800/850 kit is a bolt on kit, albeit a quite extensive one. no internal modifications are necessary.

I don't believe that any of VTG upgrades from Tuners will past 620 crank hp in 93 octane (USA) and 97 octane (Europe) pump gas.

We do not have 100 octane pump gas anymore here in Turkey.

We also test one of best USA tuner's VTG package here and it is 1 seconds slower from 100kmh to 200kmh with BP 97 octane pump gas compared to Shell 100 octane pump gas.

100-200kmh:
with 100 octane RON pump gas: 6.1-6.3s
with 97 octane RON pump gas: 7.0-7.3s

Also, keep in mind that; 93 octane US pump gas (PON) = 97 octane Euro pump gas. (RON)
