LED Rear Taillight pics & questions
Hey guys, I am in the process of having a body kit installed on my 997 Turbo and have also added the LED taillights. Ric from Suncoast has helped me tremendously, but I wanted feedback from people who have done this to their 08 997 Turbo's. Will the taillights work immediately once they have been installed or does the dealership have to activate something in-order for it to work?
Also what is the process of installing these lights, are there certain steps to follow to ensure the lights work properly.
Here are some pics of the car with the kit currently being installed.

Any useful infor you can offer that will make the installation easier or flow more smoothly?
Also will the lights work if the cars module has not been reprogramed? I have heard they will work, but I will just get a warning light on the dashboard, can anyone clarify?

thanks for the kind words cayenne_ksa.... The car was supposed to be done today, but the guy at the bodyshop said he didnt link the difference in shades between the original paint and the kit one's so he is respraying them. Hopefully ill have the car ready by tommorow! (fingers crossed!)

May be a stupid question, but if there are 6 LED light interfaces on the new lights, and 6 bulb interfaces on the stock tail lights, can't you just clip and splice the wires in to the new harness and skip the light control modules? If warning lights come on, couldn't you just splice in resistors, and skip messing with PIWIS and control modules?
There was about a 10 days of modifying and fitting, and a around a week for paint installation and all other stuff...
Yes, very true....refer to the post above!
