Our Turbos are not TTs
Our Turbos are not TTs
I like Total 911 mag this month putting the no-no on calling a 997 Turbo a TT. Mag says " Because they have twin turbos, some people got in the habit of calling them TTs. This wrong....a TT is a small Audi.... so please do call Porsches by their proper names. After all, the older 993 Turbo also had two turbochargers, but you don't find their owners calling them TTs, do you?"
By that logic, our cars aren't 911's either, since thats the number for emergency help in the USA. Nor are they Carreras, since it's the name of about 50 different people and places that came long before.
I don't see how having another car by another maker with a similar model designation makes calling this car by that same name wrong?
