No, mine was a factory option. Contact Ric or Steve at Suncoast and they will be able to help you.

That's really expensive. Do you have a photo with the mounting brackets installed in the car?

so my experience with suncoasts retrofit factory kit:

sucky!!!!

great once installled

the suncoast guys knew nothing about the installation, especially the difficulty of the installation

the factory brackets that you purchase have no threads or nuts on them, and there is no hardware included to judge how everything gets attached

the seat has to be removed in its highest position, then you have to work between the foam and baseplate to push the brackets between the seat cushion foam and the base, mind you that is after you "tapped" the holes to accept a 6mm bolt

this was not an easy process

once done it looks great, but 2 1/2 hours of labor (at 120/hr) was not the do-it-yourself that they described to me

not only does it need to come out of the car, but you need a special torx nut to get the bolt out

also must have the key out at all times or the airbag light will come on and need to be reset

I put mine in and it took about 5 hours. I would have haply payed 300 bucks to have it done! Seat comes out, must peal the cushion back, drill holes on the bracket and go to the hardware store for hardware. Looks good.

there is a 5 minute solution BTW which I put in my car. Not quite as sexy as the Safecraft or stock but you can use a generic Halon bottle:

it is a nice alternative...2 points:

1. to remove the seat bolts you need a special torx nut socket...snap op!...not available at sears or home depot

2. unlike the stock setup, this will not move with the seat which for some taller drivers may be a problem

Do you have the part number for Suncoast, I can't find it. I need to get one for my friend, as I used his.

Direct Link to Suncoast

Of course, it looks better repainted Speed Yellow.

When I installed a fire extinguisher in my Porsche, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought. Took me a while to figure out the best spot without messing up the interior. But honestly, once it was in, I felt way better knowing it was there. It's one of those things you hope you never need, but you'll be glad you have it. I had a few frustrating moments, but in the end, it was worth it. The car feels a bit safer now, especially with the family onboard.
