PCCB replacement on 'new' GT2?
2200 miles on a 997 GT2, no track time, and porsche dealer/service said they won't warranty the PCCB rotors. They have rough patches on a rear rotors. They said they're 'done' and not an item that can be warrantied. Problem is the car has no track time.....just street driving...Hmmm. No stress cracks and pads a ton left on them. I have never worn out rotors in my life...Something stinks and I can't believe Porsche is hanging me out to dry...very disturbing..
what other options are there for PCCB replacements?

Another reason why PCCB's in their current state of development are just not worth having.
I have the calipers and they are fitted with 997TT 350mm iron rotors, but I have a 996TT. I'm not sure of the differences between my car and your 997TT. Someone else will have to give you the definitive answer.

try another dealer...there is something not right here...unless you changed wheels and someone cracked/chipped the rotor by not using the alignment pins to put on the wheels they should be warrantied...I have gen II pccb with 12k miles, lots of track time and several sets of pads and no problems

it was the regional Porsche rep that said no, after the dealer called him. The rough circular spots on the rotors they claimed was caused by heat and they are not willing to cover it. It's a shame that Porsche won't step up to the plate. if anyone knows of a more friendly dealer, let me know. The chipped edge of one rotor is one thing, the rough spots on the rear rotors they claim were caused by excessive heat that can only apparently happen from racing. Pretty weak considering the car is only street driven....

It amazes me how poor Porsche's customer service is. Especially to someone owning a 997 GT2! I mean, obviously you have no problem spending some money with them if you own that car. Maybe it's just me and my old fashioned thinking, but make you happy with this and you're more likely to jump into the 998 GT2 when/if it ever happens. Also, who do they think is going to buy the CGT replacement when it comes out? Hint, it's not the same people buying Boxsters...Good luck on this and keep us updated.

Thank god you don't live in Kuwait, the idiots here are refusing any customer from ordering cars with PCCB's because they claim the heat, i do live in 130+ degree weather during summer, and they won't last with the sort of sandstorms we have here.
I do agree that they are pretty darn expensive to replace, i heard the brembo's are pretty amazing.
