Based on what I've read here on 6speed, they've been offered for between $165k-190K depending on dealer, miles and how fast they want to move it lol So I'd say, if you have 175-180k to spend, you could easily get into the driver's seat.

You must be on the left coast. Out here in the broke and boring east coast we are seeing muc lower prices - in the range of $155-175 at dealers, before you begin to negotiate price. And believe me, these cars have turned into almost unsellable product on showroom floors, and although the dealers are getting a 'hair-cut', they are going another $5-10K lower on these prices if they think that you will buy these cars. So new and barely used cars are actually in the $150K range, more than $50-60K off the MSRP.

Remember, they are 2008s, it is 2010 time for cars like the new GT3, and the GT2s are depreciating like falling bombs over Germany as they sit in inventory. Strange times we live in - but take advantage of them when you can.

There is still a good selection of both new and slightly used '08 GT2s out there, with some pretty incredible deals to be had. With the '10 MY around the corner, any dealers with remaining '08s should be super aggressive in wanting to unload them, especially is your friend shows any sign of serious interest to them. There's a number of GT2s listed on ebay, so have him check those out as well.

depends on what they list for, but you should be able to get at least 20% off MSRP.
