Dealer Fraud?

Hey Guys,

Not sure what to do. Took my 997TT to the nearest dealer to fix navigational system and take a look at my CD player which wasn't functioning. I had a weird feeling about things after they told my my CD player wasn't working due to "user error" and wasn't covered by warranty, even before I had a chance to explain the problem and situation. I picked my car up today and now my clutch feels entirely different. It lost the firmness that we all are familiar with and the pedal now only requires the pressure and weight of old Jetta.

What should I do? I don't feel comfortable taking it back to that dealer at all. You guys know anyone in the Los Angeles are I can trust to take a look at the car?

Help! Thanks in advance.

Would you like to name the dealer? I have used Auto Gallery and Rusnak Westlake. Also an independent - Monaco Motors. All 3 were AOK.

It was Porsche of Downtown Los Angeles. I went in to look at my cd player and left with my clutch not working. How long should I expect my clutch to last? I would love to think it was a coincidence and this is normal part of service schedule but it seems so fishy.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah that doesn't sound right. How long did they have the car? was it ever out of your control? Did ya check the mileage, could they have taken it for a spin or maybe when they pulled it into the garage they were riding the clutch a little too much? User Error on a factory cd player? What do they think, you tried to slide an Eggo in there? Should be covered, definitely don't go back there. Then when it's fixed correctly at another dealership, be sure to write a letter to the PCNA Regional Rep. with nasty remarks against Porsche of Downtown LA and how they originally refused to warranty as well as the clutch issue.
