Now having spent time reviewing all the pics and letting them sink in, it seems to me that the coolest element of the freshening are the trick LED driving lights where the Mk 1 fogs are situated. No doubt someone more clever than myself will design a retrofit kit and I think I'll sign up. In the video of the cabriolet posted the new LED look great during the day and will no doubt push traffic to the right. Anyone have an over/under on how long it will take for the retrofit kit and the pricing?

 

I did not notice, they looked like regular old fogs (yellow looking color) and turned on all the time vs. the bright white sharp LEDs on the 997.2 non Turbo.

 

The video they look like the regular fogs, in the stills they look a bit whiter but Im not 100% sure they are LED.

 

I did notice that in the videos, the fogs were on, but the parking bulbs were not. My guess is that the fogs are now the DRLs.

 

go on youtube; porsche promo video states DRL LEDs where old "fog" lamps were. where are the new fog lamps on 2010 Turbo?

 

Heres a big pic from porsche website.Seems the DRL built into the fog lights in one unit,so the fogs still there.

 

Those new headlights look like the optional Dynamic Cornering Lights on the 99.2 Carreras. Some say they make the car a little "wall-eyed" looking.

they are optional; they are not standard equip. on the 2010 Turbo. have to jack up those profits! typical Porsche price gouging! you do not see this with ferrari, lambo, SL63 AMGs, DB9s, etc.

 

I like these 998 LED/DRL's in the fog light housing as well, but for 997.1's I like this set up:
-Speedart DRL replacement for the LED blade
-Hoen xenon match fog bulbs

I wonder if anyone thinks that the 998 LED/DRL's plus the Speedart DRL LED blade is two much LED on the front of a 997 Turbo? Maybe on second thought that is the way to go.

 

I got a better look, it looks like a partial circular LED string in the fog housing - cant say it looks good at all. The 997.2 light bar is much better looking IMO despite.
