Cat bypass & Muffler bypass pipes. Is no backpressure a problem?

So I had cat bypass pipes and muffler bypass pipes (both fabspeed) installed last week, and assuming I can live with the noise.... which I'm still on the fence about, is there any risk to the turbos or the engine with this setup? I was told by someone that on the turbo charged cars there really should be some backpressure otherwise I risk doing damage.

The car is used as a DD, but is also occasionally tracked. On a typical day it's driven pretty calmly though. This is what I was told:

Just run the straight pipes with cats but do not run without. We've seen several people grenade their motors that way. It's seriously not worth it.

So I'm thinking of switching to fabspeeds race cats... what does everyone else think of the situation?

It will sound better catless and muffler than with sport cats and straight pipes. Another benefit of a catless system is that the heat will dissipate further from the turbos. My car only kept sport cats and straight pipes for a endless day...

I think for the small amount of power you gaining without them and the environment issues I would go with high flow cats, preferably HJS ones.
