If he's confident enough to ask you to race, chances are he has a lot done to his car.

Quote: He is asking to race you, he knows you are stock, and you know he is modified but don't really know specifics about his mods. A set of his tires are far cheaper than a set of your tires. I would say he feels pretty confident, either based on first-hand experience of published times, that he will beat you. So why throw your money away on a meaningless race?

In other words you are getting hustled. Why would you race for money (essentially) against a car you know hardly know this about.

He is taking you for a sap, do you know this guy well? Who's idea was it to race for something as opposed to just racing.

If it was his idea to add an anti- you are getting hustled.
