Tiptronic with Flash and Exhaust HAULS A$$

Just wanted to say nice work to Tblountman who rocked the dragstrip with his 997 Turbo Tiptronic. His mods are a ECU Flash, Ceramic Coated Headers, and Fabspeed Bypass Pipes. This was his first time out with the car since it was flashed. The tiptronic allowed him to rocket to a 11.16sec in the 1/4mile with a trap of 123mph. Just shows how quick a tip is. I ran a 11.14 at 134mph to compare.

And the play by play...

Tim is at the line

The tree goes

Brake boost and launch

Happy Guy!

Thanks Dan, yes it was a fun and surprising day. I had no idea I would hit 11.1. After a few tries at hitting reaction times I gave up and concentrated on hitting my brake boost launch at the optimum point. We had a fun day. Aaron (acicchelli) had some of his stable out as well. He had the 997tt (Switzer) Merc McClaren SLR, Cayenne Turbo and the macdaddy Lambo TT ( Can you say daddy needs a new clutch). We also had a beautiful Ferrari 612 Scaglietti which he had the nads to run a couple of times. Overall for me it was an outstanding time which I never thought I would hit. Softronic is the real deal and the straight pipes sounded awesome as I let Aaron do a run just to listen. Those pictures are not necessarily in order as it was kind of a compilation of the day. By the way that Yamaha R1 smoked me with a 10.1. The Switzer came in second with a 10.7. I'll let Aaron chime in on his day as he was a little frustrated putting the hp to the ground with his Lambo and ultimately ate the clutch.

I brake boosted until the arrow appeared in the dash and let her rip. It will only rev so far and I can't remember where it starts to bog but you can't over rev when doing this. I wouldn't do this a ton but the tip is pretty bullet proof. This link has lots of pics of all the participants.
