? how long for flashed ECU to recognize race gas

I have a Protomotive flashed ECU & from what i understand the ECU adjusts when you put in higher octane fuel which i can get 100 at the the pump & 109 locally,so how long it does it take is it 5 to 10 min or miles or more like an hr or 50 miles I see some software like Giac have a hand held device to instantly change octane ratings. Just wanna make sure i'm understanding how this works thanks.

Good Question! I also wonder if the ignition timing will never be as aggressive as a dedicated High Octane map. I know that most computers learn your driving style and change mapping accordingly.
For Example: If I was to reset my 05' E55 ecu, the throttle would be more sensitive/aggressive and felt faster. After a Reset the car would loose traction but still very controllable through first gear. After a lil bit of driving it wouldn't do it again. Similiar results with a CL600 and stock Supra ECU's

right away. Just punch it. I did it this past weekend. The car had approx a half a tank of 91 octane and put in about 8 gallons of 100oct. The response was immediate. Timing, spooling, sound, etc. changes right away as soon as I punched it. I imagine if it was pure 100oct, it would be even more aggressive.

More aggressive timing, afr's, and boost maps so therefore, more power. I have the EVOMSit flash with exhaust, intake, and headers.

If your tank is on empty with fuel light on, it should take about 10 to 15 minutes of freeway driving. I can notice a big differance running the 100 octane fuel.
