No, it is just the light. You always need some time till it shows.

The ECU recycles every 30 miles, buy a cheap scanner from sears that can read and clear codes. You should not be getting CELs with a tubi. That being said, there are some 08-09 cars that are more sensitive to CELs for some reason.
Neil means the IC joints.

I ran the Tubi exhaust for 16 months before the Ruf conversion, never had a CEL. If you have a bad cat I'm sure it's an isolated event.

I will check to see if the light comes on again. The reason I got the tubi was from all my readings it sounded good and doesn't throw cel. I did get the exhaust used and the previous owner stated he had the exhaust for only 6 months and it threw no code. However he did have a tune along with the exhaust so maybe the tuner turned it off? Those with the tubi exhaust is the bung already built in or a separate piece that goes between the sensor

Doesn't sound right. If you have the tubi street you are not suppose to get a cell as they are high quality 200 cell cats. I currently have a tubi street and have not received any cell light. When you first got the exhaust did you check the inside of the cats? Sometimes you can get cats that have been crushed inside or bent. Should always check especially when getting a used one.

If your car is running poorly or idling bad, then you have a leak. Check you intercooler hoses both on the y-pipe and on the other end. The bumper has so be removed to check the other end that connects to your intercoolers.

Also, check the connection to your throttle body/plenum to see if it's loose.

As for the bungs, they are already built in.

the light came on again. will a generic obd II from the autozone be able to read the code or is it a propriety code that is being thrown for cat? I am about to head to get one so I can read the code and clear it. The car runs smoothly and I have checked for leaks.

Yes, most generic scanners will read and clear the code. You can then translate the code from any of a dozen online sources.

I got a generic obd II scanner today and read two codes off the car.

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1)
P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 2)

Does this mean my cats are flowing too well on my tubi or I have a bad o2 sensor or cat?

Inefficient cats.... be sure you didn't mix up the primary and secondary wires.

I think i found the problem. Look at the picture of the exhaust I purchased. The front and rear o2 sensor plugs are the same size. I was looking at tubi's website and also pictures of the Tubi in the FS section and notice that the rear o2 plug is longer because it has a "bung" installed. I think the previous owner's installer forgot to include the "bung" assuming it was for his new system. I will contact them tomorrow and check. Is this the problem?

I've had my Tubi "Race" for 1k miles and never had a CEL. I just ran 10 Gallons of 110 Leaded race fuel this weekend and NO CEL's. Its amazing how much smoother the car runs with 110 leaded, also sounds alittle quiter at cruise with it.

Maf

Check your MAFs - they can sometimes be the cause. They may just need cleaning or perhaps one needs replacing (they aren't expensive). Bung extensions are a good solution as well. Many dealers won't investigate as thoroughly as your tuner.

If you look at the picture I posted, I think the seller forgot to send me the "bung" for the rear o2 sensor assuming he may need it for his future exhaust. From all the other pictures of the exhaust I have seen in the for sale section, the Tubi has a longer "bung" in the o2 slot closer to the muffler. Can anyone with the Tubi exhaust verify what i'm talking about?
