Pss10

I'm thinking about doing my own install on PSS10's. I'm going to be under there with a Switzer exhaust so might as well, eh?
I'm waiting for the weather to deteriorate to where I can't drive the tt anymore. As it is right now we're having a last gasp of Porsche driving weather.

So whats the deal, do I need special tools, 3 arms etc. or is it a logical process. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bob

it's a long and complicated install. Takes approx 4 hrs or so. Best to have a Porsche shop do it. You'll be happy you did. The exhaust install is a lot easier.

Thanks Neil, it took me longer than 4 hrs to do my last exhaust ...so, probably very good advice.

How the heck did you do it in four hours? It took me at least 8 hours to swap my friend's suspension (with him watching on the sidelines.)

I must have 5 thumbs on each hand...

These posts remind me how "mechanically challenged" I am compared to some people on this forum.

Neil, your "take it to the shop" recommendation surprised me. LOL. I was expecting something to the tune of "no sweat" from you. Was it the mother of all installation? That hard?

Webtool1, besides Neil, "eclou" also DIY'ed and had a wonderful thread somewhere (rennteam?) with pictures.

Thanks for the input.
Yes, Eclou's excellent post with pictures made it look simple, but pictures can be deceiving. The interference struggles are usually not photogenic.
I have been wrenching for 40+ years and one thing I have learned is first time into a procedure without explicit direction is usually tough sledding.
Bob.

Yup, it's a giant job and wanted to spare him the headaches. Took me and a mechanic buddy just a little over 4 hrs. Will never do it again. Whew!
