Nice choices to have. Just hang on to your shorts when you need service on that Lambo!

if ur not into modding and DD for this car then gtr and 911tt wouldnt be on my list (imo)... and lambo ur planing 2 get such as the SL or the LP would def be a nice weekend car as also the ferrari would fit nicely under that catagory... personally im a ferrari guy so that would be my choice but by the driving and the understanding of that the intended purpose of the car is the lambo fits u best...flashy newer and up 2 date...unless ur realy want the car with the performance figures and the best tracking ability then the lambo is right for u...unless u open ur market to another region of cars

Lambo hands down, though if you do not have a service center near you, it can get a bit pricey.

also the Lambo has the better wow factor. I know it is a Porsche section, but being realistic.

from the sounds of it, it sounds like a f430 would suit you well. i have a 07 f430 with ccb, challenge rims and capristo - 04 lambo murci w/straight pipe - 06 mitsubishi evolution with 650awhp/jrz 4-ways(i am kind of comparing this one to your gtr option). i have driven the superleggera as well. and i got to say the feeling you get when you drive the ferrari is something else. you can just feel the race heritage, its just a different feeling when you drive the ferrari.

IMHO, if your looking for a weekend warrior the 2010 TT with PDK is a no-brainer. The responder who said get a pre-owned TT and then mod it is what I would personally do, but then again your talking an 800 hp beastie with a tip. I won't get rid of my 07 TT tip b/c I love her. I'll keep her as a daily driver and mod her for a 100K miles or more. I'll make you a bet she'll be a strong runner even in 2012. Also, you shouldn't forget that Porsche Service is a different level than say a Nissan dealership. While the GTR is a truly phenominal performing car for the money, you get what you pay for in terms of service. Trust me - I've owned Nissans and there is no comparison. My Porsche Roslyn (NY) service crew (Lana and Luciano) are outstanding. When you need work done it gets done. Try that at Ferrari of LI or Lambo LI (good luck with that). Anyway, if you have a hard-on for an Italian exotic I understand. Get it out of your system. At some point, you'll get a TT and, like most of us on this Board, never look at another Marque the same way again. My 2 cents.

Weekend driver? I'd say your plan to wait until March for a 560-4 is a good one.

Decisions Decisions, I love my P car but I would say the G car for a weekend warrior. Have you considered the 2010 Audi R8 V10? There is one on ebay right now for $150,000 Buy It Now. The Audi is not as exotic as a G car but I drove one and the car is amazing.

The Audi R8 V10 is a 2010 model with full factory warranty. Yes the G is a very impressive car but the Audi will be more reliable, the body style is current vs the 08 G and the Audi is more comfortable and refined to me than the G car. As I said before its just my opinion but I would get the R8 V10 over a 08 G.

what a nice problem to have.

To me the turbo will always be a daily drive,it is an amazing car for that...the only question in that department now is whether one buys an r8 instead.Having owned them both I prefer the r8 (and mine was the v8 not the v10..and the s/line performance is not an issue for me living in the UK ) but both are brilliant.

For a weekend drive though the only Porsche to consider is the gt3 or gt3 rs ,far more exciting and fun than the turbo.

If it were my money though..the 430 all the way, both the lambo and 430 offer an experience the 997tt cannot match, the sound and sensations they both produce are way above any 997tt (including all the modded ones I've been in)
the question is which one.The problem for me with the gallardo is that the r8 actually handles better and in v10 r8 is as quick as you need a car to be,so the 430 remains.I loved the one I drove it is sensational .

tbh either one is great though ,good luck with whichever you buy.

In what concerns the budget, I have seen an LP560 on autotrader for $178,000. So hopefully in march/april I could close a deal on an LP560 for 150k$-160k$.

Thoughts?
Lambos and Ferraris are pretty unreliable, but undoubtedly good looking. If you want reliable allaround, all weather fun, go for the 997TT. I hate unreliable cars and would never by an Italian car, even though the looks are unbeatable. Then again, in Finland the closest place to service the Lambo is in Sweden, so that would influence my choice!?

The italians being unreliable is not 100% true, the Gallardos, 612/575/599s are very bullet proof given you do proper services. The distance to your nearest Lambo dealer defiantly puts a hamper on the Lambo lol
