2010 Turbo vs Gallardo Superleggera - Budget 150k$

Hello guys,

I am thinking about changing my supercharged 06 Carrera S next spring and need your input about what to choose.

Here are the options I have thought about:
- 2010 Porsche Turbo w PDK
- 2008 Gallardo Superleggera
- 2008 Ferrari F430 (but out of budget)
- 2010 Nissan GTR

My car would be only driven during weekends. I would drive it mainly on small roads and track it like twice a year.

So basically my criterias are:
- Performance (sensation on small roads)
- Good looking
- Budget 150k$
- not older than 2008

At the moment, I am leaning toward the 2010 Turbo because of the awesome performance/acceleration. Also it is a 2010 car. My second choice would be the superleggera in gray for the looks/sound and for being aggressive. Though it's a 2008 car and there is the LP560 already.

What would you choose? Or do you have another option I didnt think of?

Thanks

I would save the money and buy a Gt3 and custom spec the car . First choice out of your cars posted would be the Turbo but I feel the newness of the integrated engine as well as the depreciation seen in the last crop of Turbos it simply has too many doubts.

The Gallardo the "look at me" car which has a lot of appeal but lacks the speed . In fact a PDK 997S can run with it.

The Ferrari -- has a lot of history and tradition --yet when it comes to service both the Ferrari and the Lambo can leave you hearing "it's on a boat from Italy" or send those technicians hunting for a wriiten solution for repair . Porsche is very organized in presenting its ease of repairs to the guys who work on your car .

The Gtr -- I'm not sure if Nissan is requesting a track waiver or not but regardless the customer service can not compete with any of the others on your list . I also feel that the car will wear with time and even thugh it has a lot of positive press it's not at the caliber of the others .

Spec the Gt3 with engine mounts, nose lift, ceramic brakes, and few other options and you will have the last of the Gt1 engine in its finest form . You'll save at least 50 grand bettween purchase price and resale and the car looks amazing.

Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yeUb2JpCz4

I currently own the F430, Gallardo and 997TT.

In my opinion it would be the F430. You would be looking at an '06 to get your price point down. There are little to no differences between the '05 - '09 F430's.

I'd look at low mile 08 GT2s as well, you should be able to get one for 150.

First, the Nissan GTR in that list next to Ferrari and Lambo. Is it some kind of a joke? Are you running a temp? I assume "cosmetic decency" LOL is not a criteria here? Just kidding, but... really.

For a weekend car: My vote is for Gallardo. Prefer V10 torque pull over Ferrrari V8. Porsche GT2 would be another one on this short list.
If ease & cost of maintenance are taken into consideration, then GT2 becomes the only choice.

Well I put the GTR more into the Turbo's arena. And it's like an option if I wanna go for the best perf/price ratio. IMO, this the classification I have in my mind:
1- Ferrari Italia (Out of budget)
2- Ferrari F430 (Out of budget new. In budget if very used like 06)
3- LP 560-4 (Out of budget)
4- Gallardo SL (In budget used)
5- Porsche Turbo (In budget new)
6- GTR (In budget new)

I guess some people have some serious problems than thinking about if they should buy a porsche or a lambo and I am wasting your time with this

Just my .02......I would go with the 430, looks great, handles amazing plus that screaming Ferrari V8, drove a Gallardo Nera, not that impressed, I bought a Turbo instead. My list would go as follows: 430, Turbo, Gallardo, GTR.
