I used babelfish on the comments and it seems the GTR won overall because of value. Individual numbers the 911 Turbo were faster but when on the course, the GTR was faster. Most of the comments were questioning how a car with less horsepower, slower 0-60 times would be faster on the course.

According to HeavyFanboy, the GTR is faster on a course because it wears racing slicks.

If not for these racing slicks, the GTR would be no faster than a Boxter.

Someone translated and posted on the comments section. ...

"..skyline won. better handling, faster time on track, lower price, easy steering
pro porsche: faster acelleration, better image, more hp, launch traction control, better suspension for everyday use.
the price was the reason the skyline won..."

Just noticed the 997 price is 155,000 Euro. The price in the other thread was 149,000 Euro with PDK and Sport Chrono. So looks like this car probably did have PS2s. Hence excuses reduce to:

Bad driver, Simpsons did it.

Could buy a Nismo Club Sport package and ECU with full factory warranty for the cost of the 997's option list.
