launch control

Hello,
Does the gen 2 turbo manuel shifter have a launch control like the gt2? If not why didn't they do it , because they have the technology.
Is it a marketing thing to promote the pdk.
Thanks.

probably because there is a lot more stress on the clutch when launching an all wheel drive car over a two wheel drive car.

keep in mind that the PDK transmission has a dual clutch while the normal manual gear has a single clutch . I've heard that you can use the launch control feature on the PDK with no limit. It wont even cause wear/tear to your clutch !! but thats due to the dual clutch technology.

It is actually a multidisc wet clutch setup where there are multiple clutch discs on each shaft, this is going to have more surface area to spread the load over compared to a single disc conventional manual, It is also bathed in oil which is going to provide cooling. Plus safeguards are built into the software on the PDK to protect itself from destruction.

thanks, for the explication. But what is the best way to launch a manual without damaging the clutch. How many revs?
