It's nice that they refunded you the 900 bucks but what are you going to do as far as a tune for your car with the upgraded turbos? If you stick with the previous pre-turbos file then it's almost like you aren't getting any value for the money you spent to upgrade the turbos (I think). Were you given any explanation for the result (beyond what you posted)?

there is no reason why I wouldn't let TPC do the tune. They actually feel the car is running great right now and there is not a whole lot i'm leaving on the table.

Not sure how that can be? How can upgraded turbos and IC's not benefit from a more aggressive map?

That's how you blow a head gasket

Lean condition from running big turbos on a stock map. Bigger turbo puses more this needs more fuel. Otherwise it's kaboom

My car at stock Porsche boost is doing 750rwhp. And that's at .8 bar. So boost has nothing to do with it. Bigger turbo pushes more air but is also laggier. More volume needs more fuel. And if you follow ur logic then a smaller turbo will run the car lean?
Bottom line is you never swap turbos without proper tuning and other components. This is as basic as it gets.
You never install software that is not supported by the operating system right? Same idea here.

I wasn't aware that he just upgraded the compressor wheel. The discussion seemed to be "bigger turbos ". I was thinking in terms of a big turbo on a stock ecu.
There are 2 companies that upgrade the wheels, both with whom I do same business, I know what goes in the upgrade.
We are wasting time and energy. This person should get a proper tune period.
Going back to my software/ operating system example. Sure some programs will work even though they are not tested on xxx operating system. But most of them end up crashing and or locking up
Just my opinion.
