How true that is! The best Porsche salespeople I've met are on this forum, and uncompensated to boot!

Funny, I bought my tt out of state because I found the Champion crowd arrogant and condescending.

FWIW, if you on the east coast near Philly, I highly recommend Porsche of the Main Line. They don't know as much as I do about the cars, but they are a class act. (no affiliation).

BTW, since the 991/998 Turbo is coming out in 2012, and the 600hp GT2 in 2013, if you have the big money, buy one of those. I myself, am moving to older 911s as I age.

Porsche is struggling with US sales. The EURO is just too high - or the US$ too low - for them to make real money in the US. Some high margin mandatory option car is a pretty good idea for them to do.

i couldn't agree more. i have an 09 turbo coupe 6 speed that i bought as soon as the 09 coupes came out-paid about 130k, which is my max. these 160-175 cars are stretching the porsche customer to it's n'th-maybe all they want to do is to make a few turbos for a select few, a car that you can look up to while you drive a normally aspirated turbo. a type of ferrari enzo for the 430 crowd.

Wow. Some of you guys really need to change dealers if this the level of expertise your encountering. I fell in love with my first Porsche years ago because I had a great sales person who was very knowledgeable about Porsche and the car.
Do you really believe that some of the good ones aren't making enough coin to drive one, you're dreaming. I wouldn't buy a car from an idiot just to save $500. I'm going to take my sales guy to lunch and thank him for loving these cars as much as me.
Also, not for anything but what did you think the new TT would cost with a new engine, PDK, and 500 hp, $130k. Do you want every yahoo owning one or are we looking for exclusivity? Tough group.

Anyone have any details they can share?
