Motorsports Plenum and Throttle Body Upgrade
We kind of went about it a little different than originally planned but I was really pleased with the results. We picked up ~70hp/~140tq!

Glad it worked out for you

But in Mikes write up on the linked thread, there is no mention of the plenum, only the Fabspeed intakes. Did you forgo the plenum altogether?
Regards,
Droool! Don't keep us hangin' too long!
My Porsche dealer has suggested that I can get another 60hp from installing the Porsche Motorsport's plenum and larger throttle body.
The are familiar with my car ('07 997tt) and know that I have a Ruf 550 upgrade and Europipe L2 exhaust.
At $2200 quoted for parts and whatever the cost of labor, this seems like a pretty inexpensive upgrade for 60hp.
Anyone gone this route? Any comments on this upgrade?
Thanks.

Big +1 on stage 2. Love the burbles and popping sound it makes when you get off the gas. That may have as much to do with my setup but the pipe does sound great. Best sound out there, IMO.
Here's the pipe and new silicon hoses

I just laid the pipe in there so you could see the diff in size

I'll have it installed next week and then I'll plan a trip back to AWD. I think I might need a reflash since the pipe and IC's have been installed.
thanks
Ronnie
Ok, the wait is over. I received the proto Y-pipe from Vivid Racing today. Dan, you guys do awesome work.

wooooooooooooooooooooooow, how big is that Y- pipe?

I've always referred ti it as a "splitter." I have referred to the parts from the splitter to the injector manifold as the plenum.
