love the rear of the 997.2 car, and the sport seats are awesome. but i cant get passed the wheels.
I'm still debating what to do with the 07 since prices are rather soft now. The wheels look better in person than in photos but I agree with you. I didn't get the center locks for practical reasons. I expect to mount aftermarket wheels soon.

This all comes down to tranny and for most the new PDK will fit the bill, its easier to use, you can drive it in traffic, pretend you know how to drive on weekends, impress your friends and wife, get off the line quickly with a bunch of gadgets, probably toss your trans at some point from all the abuse, and it will never equal the pleasure of a 6-speed.

IMO, the PDK takes all the skill out of driving and I feel really bad for kids generation, they have no clue what they will be missing when they are old enough to drive.
They said the same things about indoor plumbing, furnaces, electric stoves, ABS and every other technology advance. I love technology for its ability to amplify my natural abilities. Driving still takes skill, particularly on the track. I have no problem with "old school" driving but that is exactly what it is. The six speed is dead. Long live the six speed.

The 997.2 is throatier than the 997.1 stock but not as much as a modified stock exhaust (by TPC) that I have now. And, certainly not as much as aftermarket exhausts but then, no resonance either.
