There's about 1/4 an inch of sand and rocks on my road. In CT they don't just use salt/chemicals, they "sand" with dirt and salt. Dirt with rocks and crap in it (they sweep it up and recycle it). Also it was about 13 degrees today, and someone's pipes burst down the street a bit, making a huge skating rink on a hairpin curve. Oh, and in Lyme all the roads are lined with these pretty and ancient rock walls. Does this make any sense

It's my DD - and it loves cold air! I have to clean it a lot, but I live off a dirt road (in the sticks), so I have to do that anyway. It would kill me to tuck it away for the winter. I'd be missing out on too much fun...
