eagerly awaiting spring and my new 09 TT :)

Hey guys

This is my intro here, I just plunked my money down on a new 09 leftover TT in ruby red, got a great price on it.

I just sold an Elise to get it, I was disheartened by how little I could actually drive the lotus. It was either raining (with a somewhat leaky softtop and A048 summer tires) or I had some impossible errand like getting the kids @ camp or some other incompatibility. So, the car sat, an 05, and accrued just 4000 miles. What a shame.

For me, as a father of two boys, 8 and 11, I can't just make more "me" time, life happens in an unplanned and spontaneous way. Now, the 20 mile drive through country roads to get the kids in the summer is "ooo let me go pick em up!" The drive to go to the flea markets in Brimfield Ma is now something we can all squish into the turbo to go on. My wife had only ridden in the lotus once, now we can all enjoy it, at least until the kids grow some legs. Very exciting.

Congrats! Unique color fo' sho. Although I think putting an 11 year old in the back seat of a turbo is borderline child abuse.

Hell with waiting. Drive it! Roads are dry most of the time, so if you're not going to put on snows, you can still drive it almost every day.

Congrats on your new car!

That's a nice color! Congrats! I was wondering up until what age you could fit a child. I'm in luck since mine still has to be conceived, so I should have many years left if I get a TT LOL

Funnily enough my 9 and 12 year olds think the same thing! ... and to think I bought the 911 because it is a family car.

We all know you just said that so your wife would be ok with it. That's how I'm selling the idea too
