Perhaps not. Other threads over past few months have members reporting to have paid for CPO's at pricing that is all over the map (seem to range from unusual lows of $1000 to more often $2000 to $3000). Certainly, they are not consistent. I would expect that any remedial work performed on the car would be included in the pricing of the car, but could it be that some dealers actually include some costs for remedial work put into individual cars within their CPO pricing instead of the vehicle pricing, and others don't? Maybe that justifies some of the CPO cost differences/ or perhaps individual dealers simply charge what the market/individual customer will bear.
For instance, if they are the only game in town or one of only a couple of dealerships in a particular geographic area, I would expect they can charge more without the competition. Certainly varies between dealers and I guess one can hope you buy at one that doesn't gouge the crap out of you, because you love the car and they can! At the end of the day, I wouldn't feel bad and beat myself up about your deal- drive the car and see if it feels wrong.

Very high priced for 07' with nothing on it? IMHO, I just missed out on a well optioned 08' with 12k miles that sold out from under me for $86. It was one of a few leather wrapped PCM control displays that I ever had seen, sharp. The Tip is what held me back, don't know if I could go from a 6 speed. Item 250567321289 eBay

TTSurgeon - sorry, no pictures yet. I will see if I can upload a few this week. I would have preferred Teracotta or red.

thanks for forwarding AutoTrader. I only want stock wheels and those aren't. Also only interested in a Silver car (Arctic or GT Silver) with Black leather. I offered 85k and the dealer has come back with 89,800k. I told him thank you but I'm walking....I'll see what he says. As far as CPO, they replaced nothing with low mileage (not even tires) and were incredulous that I asked....said nothing more than standard maintenance. For a 2 owner car with no options, I still think this is high. 85k or I walk. Not sure how to justify almost 90k for an almost 4 year old model year car (2011s coming out in April). I do like the car don't think in this market I should overpay.
Also have a 2010 GT3 with ceramics from a dealer at 10K off list (125K net). Apples to oranges but unless I get the Turbo right, I'll go for the GT3....although I want a sunroof....stupid I know but it is a summer sports car....

TriSilver - I am sure you've done this already but I had good luck with Porsche search agent. You can set up your parameter and Porsche sends you emails as cars matching your profile is listed. Good luck!

cant really compare tips to manuals, as tip cars are going for around 5-10k cheaper based on the fact that most people are opting for the pdk or manuals.

For the OP, if your looking for a turbo used from a dealer, dont sit and wait, the prices are going up, as well as the fact that there are very few out there. Anyone who tells you otherwise has not been in the hunt for the past 2 months. I recently purchased mine, however, when I was looking it was really tough to find any dealer that had even 1 available. If you are intersted, the dealer I purchased from has an 07, gt silver, black, cpo with less than 5k for under 90k. well optioned, sticker was approx 140k. PM me if you'd like the dealers info

I agree. It seems like Turbo prices are holding up pretty well. I didn't even notice any drop in Tip prices at all prob because PDK is just being released.

I think I saw that GT Silver DINO is referring to - was it at Pepe? I can certainly vouch that it was a very clean car. And for $90k it's a great deal

I keep looking at this car. It's an 08 --not an 07 and priced very close . http://pepe.porschedealer.com/2008/P...44528/info.php

I hope you realize you are getting "hosed" by the dealer. That car is worth low 70's on wholesale so $80K would be max offer.

Please don't buy that car and restart your search. There must be a 100 997TT's on the market right now.
