advice needed 2007 TT $$

Guys:

I've been on the 997S threads looking at new 2009 Carerra S. Feedback was for those $$ I should be looking at a used TT. I haven't been a huge TT fan because of frankly lack of exhaust note.

But I drove one today(2007) at the dealer and actually got turned on. Arctic Silver/Black with 8,500 miles and Porsche certification. 2 owners. The car has nothing on it except Sport Chrono and mats. That's it. The dealer wants $99K

Giving me the whole dealer certification/warranty costs them 6K to Porsche.

Looking at the market, and considering I walked on a BRAND NEW 2009 GT Silver car last summer with all the right options for 119K from a CT dealer, I can't see paying any more than 85K for this car.

Comments?

thats high for an 07

CPO is a must IMO, so worth paying for

that is a low sticker car and likely worth mid 80s from a dealer certified, advantage is lower miles

there are many on the market throughout the country, so spend the time to find exactly what you want

it took me 6 months before i found mine, but couldnt be happier

Dont be afraid of a car with a bit of mileage on it either. I just passed 53,000 miles on mine and its as good as its always been.

If you are going to use it as a DD let someone else take the majority of depreciation and enjoy it.

i would buy one private party for low to mid 80's, then get an extended warranty from easy care for around $3k for additional 5 yrs.

I agree $85k seems like a decent price assuming CPO. I just recently purchased 2008 TT, one owner with 3k miles, GT Silver, dark grey leather full leather sports chron (orig sticker over 140) with CPO for $92k. There are better deals out there. Good luck!

Just got her yesterday - sorry for bad pict from my phone.

In fact, that's exactly what I did. I found the car from private party but also found a dealer who was kind enough to CPO. Basically, the private party sold the car to the dealer and I bought it from the dealer with the CPO. They charged me $2000 for the CPO and about $1000 for BS fees, including PPI etc.

Interesting that the prices are going in the mid 80's. I just went over to Rusnak Porsche westlake and they offered me 84k for my car. Mine's an 07 with 9300 miles on it. They said there aren't enough turbos right now on the market. They had an 08 with 18k miles for 99k, which is of course to high. But I was even surprised they offered me that much for my car. Am I missing something here?

question....did they offer you 85k for your car as a trade in on a new one? That makes sense which means you are paying MSRP list for the new one and no discount on the other end. depending on what you are looking at new....it would be net less. unless you are saying that they would write you a check for 85k for your 2007.
btw SBKIM....gorgeous GT Silver car......

99K is high. The car should also have axle lock if possible . I found an 08 that was only asking 91 but the high premium with the car you looked at might be the sub 10K mileage.

As for the exhaust the stock one is awful but Tubi makes two mazing exahusts and so does cargraphic.

I opted for the Tubi race after all was said and done .

I paid $91k for a certified 07 with 15k miles, PCCB, sports chrono, ltd diff, 6spd, 6-CD, adaptive seats, and a bunch of additional leather options. List was around $145k. Dealer said that shortage of '10 models makes it look like 997.1 prices will hold or inch up over the next year. We'll see. I thought my price was fair, not a steal, but fair.

I would sell my 07TT Slate gray with 7k miles and a 139k sticker for 85k.

That price seems awful high, and $6000 to CPO is BS, I paid $90,000 for a mint 07 with 6000 miles on the clock and Porsche dealer charged me an additional $3000 to CPO the car, out the door for $93,000

As someone else said on this thread, a CPO costs the dealer ~$1K, unless they have to do some major restoration. Usually, they will charge about $1.5K for a CPO or less.

Damn - looks like I got taken to the cleaners. My dealer wanted $2k for CPO, $300 PPI, and $500 in processing fees
