911 turbo S (U.S. pricing)
I guess it's easy to say when I already have two Porsches and I remember that you had two as well . I might feel differently if I had none . I probably would buy the Gt3 though which is a very different car. I feel that strongly that the last Gt1 cars will retain value the most and preserve a certain traditional purity with its engine block.
I am guessing that the newfangled porsches are set to evolve quickly.
It's somewhat reminds me of the Porsche version of "Bangled BMW" growth where technology grows faster than the overall design and a car becomes dated quickly. It's nice when new .. but there's this attention deficit overtone that just gives me the jitters.
id rather get a slightly used gallardo super leggera(SL) or 560for those prices
VW has already come and said very simply that Porsche has been evolving too slowly. I'm all for fast evolution as long as they maintain the character and bulletproof build, I'll be happy.
Of course teh first model is going to be a sub-boxster/audi/VW with each model having similar underpinnings but different bodies. The Boxster gets 300HP, The Audi less and the VW even less.... Turbos make this too easy to acomplish.

And to the S's benefit the cost of the powerkit, which if sold separately, would cost around $17k USD; so that .2 coupe would be $180k.
It's <$2,000 premium when you back out the options, for that you get the new body mods, direct injection and the extra power. Not a big premium for the extra power/engine mods and updated body.
Australia must have one of the highest car taxes in the world, I thought Finland had high tax until I saw this

....new my 2008 GT2 was $ 518,000.
...youre not even getting poked in the slightest....we poor Aussies on the other hand;- Gt2 = $500 grand +, 2010 tt with a few options late very $400's+ (grand) and so it goes on....

and then weve got to think about changin up.Wow we could only dream of having USA's porsche new car pricing

. Ahhh.. now I could have 2 x new 2010 turbos and 1 x new gt3...zzzzzz....and...1 x zzzzzz.. Im going to bed!
