Check engine light problem
Check engine light problem
Hey guys, i just installed a fabspeed V3 exhaust with 200cell cat on my 08 TT, and i am having the check engine light problems, I am running the lim mode which only allow me to go up to 0.6bar. I tried to take off the battery for 5 mins and let it reset but it doesnt work. Anyone else have the same problem? Do i need to reset the computer inorder to solve the problem
yes me too ,, softronic will do it
pm dan in vividracing he will give you great price
good luck
If you have a 200 cell exhaust you do NOT need a flash to get rid of the cell. High quality 200 cell cats are not suppose to give you a cell as far as I know, 100 cells and bypass will. You either have a faulty cat or something else is wrong.

I have been reading where HJS 200 cell cats shouldn't cause CEL on the contrary I have read threads like this that they do cause CEL.
From what I read Fabspeed uses HJS cats.
I read a thread where FVD exhaust caused a CEL to show up and a flash fixed it.
My personal opinion is that 200 Cell cats will cause CEL to show up.
It is a good idea to read out the code to make sure you are getting it due to
"Catalytic Inefficiency Code" and not something else.

That's exactly what should be done rather than assuming it's one thing or another. CEL covers a WHOLE lot of things.
Most 200cell cats throw a CEL from a cat inefficiency. The light does nothing but look annoying. You can keep turning it off, or spend the extra money on the ECU Flash which raises the 02 limit so you dont have this problem and gives you an extra 60+HP
