WORLD PREMIERE: NEW Champion Motorsport VTG Turbochargers
From the pictures all i can say is that they look identical to mine, now somebody explain us what is the difference of other modded VTGs?
Also the power level you mention is the same, please explain the difference i might be interested

I bet yours were just TT housing, not GT2 housing... thats where the $$$ difference is. On your sig. it said 700 promotive kit, and I know they cost wayyy moreee than $2100....... am I right?
Also, this is a good way to destroy vendor's FS thread, keep the negative yourself please.

For exampel i know proto do not use a Billet compressor wheel ther you have the bigg diffrence then its hard for the eye to se if the use a gt2 exhoust house, becouse you dont se it it doesnt mean isnt a diffrent
This is a differnt turbocharger, this include a billet compressor wheel and alot more, the one you are refering to is a mitchu uppgrade compressor wheel same a s vivid and alot of other do, from blaouch..I love proto and going with the same but not fair to compare when you get diffrent things
Okey they did before, but thats not the point here
Milou think all VTg turbos are the same, this one we are talking about now both have billet compressor wheel and billet compressor house, big diffrence in price

Given a choice, I'd rather have these works of art on my baby too, no doubt about it assuming they perform better. That's the real question in my opinion. Show the compressor map and data to support the claims. For many it comes down to value. I totally agree with you-"big difference in price". So is there a correspondingly big difference in performance? At some point, it becomes a matter of diminishing returns. I think this is the point Milou is making.
Bob,
By body, you meant the housing of the turbo? If so, why is the GT2's so much more expensive? TIA
Guys i have just noticed that i jumped from one thread to another, i was refering to the turbos here https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...er-4300-a.html

The turbos posted in this thread are the new billet offerings from Champion. They will be available very soon!
I moved the thread to the open forum as this is the appropriate discussion for a technical discussion of the turbos. Vendor classifieds are reserved for sponsors to advertise their products.
Not sure how difficult this was, considering I left an redirect link in big bold red letters for those who took time to read the thread.

Greetings,
I see what happened here, as it took me a few minutes to figure it out myself. All that aside..
Champion Motorsport has available 2 upgrades for the VTG 997.1 Twin Turbo cars. If you go back and read the very first post in this thread, I explain the differences between our new Billet compressor turbocharger upgrade and our original VTG machined housing upgrade.
The Post from Rennsport1 in the other thread (that was merged with this one) posts the retail pricing of the original 63.5mm billet compressor wheel upgrade. We have used these turbochargers to produce up and over 550 wheel HP in our conservative and reliable Werks1 packages, and other tuners have used our units, and pushed them beyond 600 wheel HP.
This thread was started to unveil and detail the new 65mm 7 blade billet compressor wheel fitted to our new high flow Billet compressor housing, that is built on a standard 997.1 TT VTG core with a modified Turbine wheel to increase turbine flow. This upgrade does not use a GT-2 VTG turbo charger as a core.
Please contact our sales department for pricing, but what we have done, is bring the pricing of the 63.5mm upgrade way down, so that it can be affordable to almost anyone, and set the pricing of the new Billet Compressor 65mm units at a price comparable or just below what the 63.5's used to sell for.
I hope this clears up the confusion. But just wait... we are very deep into 997.2 TT development..
I will post dyno results when tuning is completed. We unfortunately got pushed back a week here with other projects, but we will strap it down and put down some numbers early next week...
