.My only aim is to let others benefit from my experience, esp at the track, not tow any party line. If that goes agaist the thought police, so be it. Those who want to glean from my experience will, others won't, for now it's still a free country.
Don't mean to be critical, just sharing information here:
1. TRG is without question a first rate racing group. But I've also learned first rate group is not above first rate BS.
Not to imply at all that's the case here, but... even Farnbacher Loles needs supervision with sway bar installation right?
2. Drop links from every other company that I've seen are straight, including the Sharkwerks links you are quoting. Even more tellingly, RSS recently released a curved link, then quickly switched to straight.
3. Explantion of why a curved link is needed has to be more than "they win so many races, etc., etc." If you care or want to prove a point, it would help to have picture or study they've done on any 997 Turbo showing there is a problem with straight link.

From my limited knowledge, here is my take on the TRG links. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. TRG uses a curved link for a reason. They mainly use JRZ for all of their applications. From my experience, JRZ's dont have a proper mounting point on the shock body where a straight link can be installed without binding the link. In order to use a straight link design, the sway bar design needs to be different than a standard bar so that the links don't bind at lock. TPC is a distributor for JRZ and I believe this is what TPC is doing with their setup. Again, I could be wrong. I have the TRG links because I used to have JRZ's and they work great. I have since changed coilovers to KW V3's where I could have used a staright link design. However, I didn't see a need to since the TRG links were working great with no noise issues.
I do agree that Tarrett makes some great stuff. I have their toe links and coudln't be happier.
Neil, I talked to Tarett but they not sure 100% if the straight ones will fit 997 TT on all sway settings using MOTONS!
Try these. I've heard nothing but good things about Tarett.

See if you can order both sets(straight and bent) to try out then return the set that doesn't work on all the sway settings.

However, in looking at the OP pictures, he may in fact have had a AP straight link that bent.

OneFastBeast: *If* the drop link in your car is indeed an Agency Power drop link, and *if* that link was original straight and now bent, then you might want to consider replacing it ASAP.
As far as what drop link to replace with, I would suggest you call the pro personally since they are not responding here. TPC might be a good place to call; "S Car Go Racing" in Northern California (???) might have set one up that was reviewed in Excellence (vague memory here); then of course GMG.
Best of luck.
