I would be less concerned with curved vs straight design and pay more attention to the heim joints. I would want the strongest possible design, and regularly inspect and maintain them. That's why going with a shop like a TRG or TPC is so important, they actually race the 997 and that knowledge and experience is valuable.

I agree. Curved or straight, they both get the job done. If something goes bad on the links, it's usually the heim joints.
