I wondered the same thing with mine since it had under 6k miles. It had cpo but it was voided since the car was taken in by a non-Porsche dealer. I did go ahead with the PPI (and re-CPOed the car) because I bought it sight unseen and it made sense to at least get a DME readout and an objective assessment of the car. Heck, what's a few hundred extra dollars when you're going to drop close to 6 figures on a car?

Is it private sale or at a dealer?

One car my buyers agent and I found was a buyback, where the dealer bought it back due to a lemon issue. CPO is fine, but a lifetime of problems that caused a buyback recurring is not worth it to me. Can you get full maint history from the dealer?
