my 2008 cab 5000 miles has developed a terrible squeak it seems in the rear part of drivers door. I tried a tad of silicon spray on the seal but it is still there this is not an occasional ek ek but persitant on anything but dead smooth road

mine does the same thing which is inherent with Cabs. Brought it in last summer and the dealer lubed the the driver's door jam(top part). Went away for a bit over the fall/winter then it's back again now. Now, the passenger side is doing that same squeaking sound. I guess the warmer weather promotes it. I just get used to it since the Cabs are never really quiet inside.

The culprit is the clear plastic film that is located on the top part of the door jams. I apply a very small amount of WD40 and it seems to cure it for a little while.
