I know there're tuners out there that can tune the TCU for better shift speed, hold the RPM higher, etc. etc. but lets face it, how many of you will spend a thousand plus to have this done to your transmission? After owning a twin clutch Mitsubishi EVO X and loving its shift logic, I thought what would make me a happier Tip user is NOT to have the transmission think for me. I don't need numerous shift programs in Sport mode, just disable the less aggressive shift maps in Sport is all I need, and do it for a more reasonable fee, or maybe raised the shift point too as I have a EVOMS tune. Any takers???

 

I hate to say this -- but it sounds to me that you are screaming for a PDK. It will do everything positive that you are describing.

 

The EVOMSit TCU upgrade basically does everything you're asking for.

 

If the main point of my original post didn't come across properly, I apologize. I merely wanted to see if there are less expenisve alternative that someone is willing to offer by not tweaking and spending countless R&D hours on the TCU, but in exchange just disable the less agressive maps in Sport mode and then be able to offer such mods at a much reduced price. Yes the PDK does shift nice and I know that first hand as I already own another twin clutch car and I like the way it shifts in Sport and Sport + modes. What I need is something for the Turbo Cab that I own now.
