If it's a street car get the Turbo . It will cost you less than a Gt2 , cope better with rain or snow, and when modified can beat a stock Gt2 and still leave you change in your pocket.

You can have a 600HP 977TT with 10k in mods, then put snow tires on it and drive it all over NY in January.

If you are willing to go $165k I would also consider a 997.2 S and you'll be pretty happy from day 1.

I definitely prefer awd with this much power sitting behind the rear axle.

The price difference is too big. Go with the Turbo, or a 997.2 Turbo if you are going to go with an auto (PDK).

I bought a CPO 997.1tt, flashed it and dyno tuned (514 rwhp, around 600 at the crank), and did the suspension with bars, links, coilovers, etc. Spent around $105k all in. Great DD. Only mod left to get is a 9500ci and perhaps a better/thicker steering wheel (I'm fine with the stock wheels).

current pricing on 997.1 TT's is too good to pass up and mod.
