Thoughts on wheel vibration

First off, new owner of a 997 turbo. Purchased from a dealership and had it shipped to me. 13k miles, CPO, brand new tires per the CPO. Had someone look at it for cosmetic stuff, but figured he didn't need to drive it due to CPO, etc.

Car arrived yesterday, drove it 6 hours. There is a noticable vibration starting around 60mph. My guess is balance, of course, but the question is CPO. The local dealer is obviously not the dealer that sold the car, that's a porsche dealership 1000's of miles away, and getting them to pay for anything will be difficult. Will Porsche take care of this as warranty work considering there's literally 1 day and 300 miles since purchase as a CPO car from an authorized dealer?

The local dealer wants 200 for a balance, to hell with them. I can get a GOOD porsche indy shop to do it for 1/2 that, but if they are picking up the tab, well....

Not to sound all gloom, other then the wheel vibration issue, I had a grin from ear to ear for 6 hours.

I had the same problem after picking up my 2008 with 3k miles. Evidently, tires have flat spots due to previous owner not driving too often. Dealer didn't cover under warranty even though it was CPO. Road force balance (all 4 wheels) set me back $80. It's better but not 100%. Given that your tires are new, I doubt that it's flat spots - prob. bad balance that the other dealer should fix under their warranty.

Probably an unbalanced wheel (with incorrectly placed lead weights), or bad geo alignment. I would rule out the first one before spending money on the second.

1) could be as simple as a wheel weight falling off while being washed .
2) could also be that the tire is out of round

Same problems here,solved yesterday.

My car vibrates(the steering wheels) much from 220km/h,yesterday i let my wheels shop balance me the front wheels, but we saw that there is a tyre not round, due i use my car only sometimes and is for the most of the time sit in the garage...and the front tyres are 3 years old.
He moves the tyre on the wheels for half a turn, and then re balance all, then was better,we put it on the car again and i go out to make a test drive, all fine,i here only a little vibration on the rear wheels at 250km/h ,due the rear tyres rotate a few during hard acceleration on the rims and is really difficult to take them balanced at 100%,but i can live with it.

All out of Porsche warranty, due here a balance costs 10 euro for wheel..not worth to go to the dealer, that is at 40 kms from home, instead my wheels shop is at 5kms from here.
