Good discussion

Regarding what you wrote, there is programming and there is data, and there is meta-data. My thought is that if you reload your "PROGRAM" you are in fact reloading it. I don't dispute that at all. However, what about the data that remains, that is outside of the program, as well as the metadata that may be hiding in never never land somewhere?

I am done here PS how you liking the 135I. Loved mine. Just sold it. www.vividracing.com/forums/project-135i
It's the daily, I like it but I am very mean to it

As the link shows, Dyno Charts coming soon. Though as we all know around here, PBox data, trap speed, and customer feedback is more important.

My question was, did you dyno test it? Do you have any pbox or trap speed data?

There is a very good explanation at the end of the following thread regarding re-flashing and warranties. If you read the last several posts Scott discusses the technical aspects of re-flashing.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-warranty.html

While an interesting topic, please limit further discussion about this and keep Dan's thread clear for his product announcement.

Thanks.

I will gladly do a FREE flash for anyone in AZ to get before and after dyno numbers and then we can use my PBox.

FYI I have setup a program to allow remote flashing for customers not comfortable in doing the work - http://www.vrtuned.com/tuning-tech/remote-ecu-flashing/

A completely different angle here but it is also very important to have a great relationship with your dealer. I am in LA and there are a few Auth Porsche dealers that are very "mod friendly". Of course I am not saying to disregard safety measures like loading original flash files before any engine issue on a flashed car but it is an extra insurance policy to have a solid dealer and I have found several. And when it comes down to it the bottom line is the dealer wants the work and many are on your side to push it through.

My old 01 Gemballa 550 was HEAVILY modded and I had warranty work done on it a few times with zero questions asked from my "friendly" dealer. I'm talking upgraded turbos, flash, exhaust, heads, cats, transmission and suspension. My 02 GT2 was also moderately modded and I had the entire transmission replaced with no problem. Good relationships are priceless.
