Can someone with the RSS skid plates for the Techart front lip post a pic of the skid plates themselves? Have a lip from a different manufacturer coming in and would like to know if it's compatible shape and mounting point-wise. Asked RSS for a pic but haven't received a response.

This was designed for the Techart lip ONLY but if you have a flat bottom style lip, it may work. We would need to see pics of the lip in question.

I believe you may have PM'd or spoken with Mike on this, sorry for the delay on pics, since you don't have the lip this was designed for - please email us some pics & measurements of your lip and we can hopefully answer your questions. If you would like to order a set and they don't fit, we will refund your money no problem.

Don't have the lip in my possession yet, so I don't know if it will even be close. Once I get it (hopefully another week??), I'll post a pic here.
How do the plates mount to the lip? Are there screw holes in the plate that are not visible on the pic?

 

Originally we were drilling the holes, but currently we are not since many customers requested this so they can decide how far back or forward the placement of the skid plate sits. A few customers have also used adhesive instead of drilling.

 

you can always trim it if needed. I installed it on my lip last month and it works well...definitely serves its purpose.

 

Do you have the Techart lip, Neil? Could have sworn you had the factory aero kit....???

Sorry, I've been meaning to put it up for sale here but keep forgetting. Its been sitting in my garage for a while. I keep thinking I'll use it myself but get so many compliments on my current lip. If someone is interested, let me know. Its brand new and unpainted.

contact Bryan at RSS and buy the lip. It works well and you can also trim it. All you need is to install it on the corners of the lip since that's the place that always scrapes. I have a modified TA lip since the ends snapped off during track. Had the body shop re-shape the ends with fiberglass to salvage the lip. It looks good now and doesn't look like any other lip out there.

Install the skid plates using plastic to fiberglass adhesive. That's what my body shop used. It already saved me several times since I've had it on for a month now.
