Never used one. Do not like the cheap look. Since my car rarely gets on the Hwy no need for one. It is a PCH runner. Just repaint the front every year of so.

I certainly respect your opinion, but just know that they don't all look cheap. Usually just the cheap ones (and the pooly installed ones).

I suppose that could be said for any product. Kias look cheap to me, but Porsches don't, even though they are both cars...weird

I just have yet to see on I liked. My friend has one on his $480,000 LP 640 and is worthless. Looks cheap and I would rather go without and deal with the issues. But if you drive on the HWY in So. Cal every day as a Daily Driver, you need some protection.

You're entitled to your opinion, Robert. It all is dependent on the installer. If he or she does a good job then you wouldn't even be able to tell it's there. Many have asked me why I don't have a clear bra when I in fact do. It's that good and it certainly doesn't look cheap because you can't even tell it's there.

I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, the price of the car has nothing to do with it. Buyers will commonly seek out the cheapest clear bra they can find, and installers often seek out the cheapest film they can find.
<O
Here is a post from this forum a while back where you can see what it is supposed to look like. I could post up pics that we took from different installs, but thought this would be better. Besides being from a 3 party, it was posted by someone you guys all know and trust (and who quite possibly has the most discerning eye on the planet) If you want to get right to it, scroll down to post 7 (long way down with all the pics) to get to the finished product.

By the way, I am not trying to talk you into going out and getting a clear bra installed. I just want you to know that they don't have to look cheap.

Nothing looks as cheap as a nice car covered in stone chips. Give me clearbra any day. I've just sold my LP640 with a bra and the front of the car still looks perfect after 3 years. Same with my Carrera S - just got back from a weekend's driving and all the guys without bras needed a front end respray - mine just needed a wash.

I would rather see a line across my hood or a slight orange peeled texture than a rock chipped front end. All my cars have clear bra on them and I am in the collision repair industry.

Here are some examples of a bad installation (generally coincides with low pricing) on a 911 Turbo. With razor cuts revealed after we pulled the film off:

We had a repaint done on a 650i convertible because of stone chips on the hood, fenders, and bumper. $3500 later....it was fixed. $650 worth of clear bra could have saved him a lot of trouble.
