Just about to purchase my 4th, heavily modified! 997 Turbo (2 were 2007, 2 were 2008). Just sold my Ruf Turbo - an incredible car, but not practical here in DC.

Never had any problems with any of the 3 previous ones, all past 25K miles, and 2 were manuals.

I was talking to 911turboS2. Edwin you can make me an offer. But if it is lower then $110, you have to send me on a vacation for 3months to a island to compensate!

Old Man is infamous around these parts
19,xxx miles and going strong. Only problem was the rear fin sticking in the up position. Dealer replaced the pump (one of two) for free but it has a list price of $2,800. Thank God the car is still on warrantee. Otherwise, I drive it daily, take it to the redline continuously and brake the last second before making right hand turns.

Two problems - The stock exhaust makes a great anchor but is too quiet. Replaced by system from <http://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com/>. Great price, help, sound and seat of the pants power.

Second problem was failure of one of the two pumps for the rear spoiler. Replaced for free on warrantee but it lists for $2,800 which is crazy.

Otherwise, great car, great service (Bert Smith - St. Pete, FL). Great fun when by myself and quite tame with the wife in the right seat.

For some reason, Maxspeed-Motorsports did not print. Nelo literately modified the system to meet my needs and walked me through the entire process. Whole thing including polished stainless headers was roughly $3,000.

Does 3 Mile Island count? Or Alcatraz? I could swing those for your car...and the $110.

Deal?

I'm not trying to be a smartass (although sometimes it might seem like I AM trying) but that's what the dealer told me they changed.

When the clutch won't engage until it's all the way to the top of travel even I'm smart enough to know it's time to take it to the dealer.

Bob in NY... do a search on slave cylinder and accumulator on the forum and there will plenty of info. I had a leak coming down the driver side front wheel well... brought it to the dealer and they just removed some of the pentosin fluid. 3000 miles later after changing out the clutch i go to step on the clutch pedal to start her up, and the pedal dropped to the floor. looked inside the clutch reservoir and its bone dry. no leak on the garage floor. im not taking any chances so im doing the GT2 conversion as we speak. trying to prevent having to tow my car home one of these days due to the clutch not engaging.

besides that its an awesome car!!
