Before I put my exhaust system on, i revved the catless car up untill smoke started POURING out again., and eventually sputtered and died on me. when i checked for codes, all four 02 sensors popped up because they were out, then an Intake Solenoid code popped up, followed by misfired injector #6... I cleaned the car up and flat-bedded it to my local dealer and kind of played dumb and tipped my service advisor I told him the car simply doesnt start... I have the right amount of oil in the motor now, and there is no drippings of any sign of oil in the pipes. The only mods i have on the car right now are FABspeed headers, cats, and exhaust, without software. I ordered EVOMS intercoolers and evoms stage 2 software that is going on my car in about a week, i was planning on changing the spark plugs to some denso cold plugs anyway.. What do you think the dealer is going to say about this?? I was told my by service advisor that since the exhaust was installed by a porsche dealer, i still have full warranty.. ANY IDEAS?!
I think you should probably stop posting and hope your dealership doesn't read this thread.

The procedure is actually very simple...provided that you know the proper steps. In hindsight, the OP made several errors during the original oil change. I hope he gets things sorted out.

Wow I impressed you did all this? Do you own a shop or something. I was thinking about doing exhaust and may be headers down the road but wasn't sure if this something you can do at home...

yes, i do own a shop, and had proper access to the motor with the car on the lift for 2 days, trying to sort and let the car run with the right amount of oil to let all that excess oil smoke out. Its a shame these cars are so complicated, i never seen a car with 2 drain plugs in my life! im pretty mechanically inclined, but then again im to blame because i didnt read the owners manual or HOW TO CHANGE YOUR OIL FOR DUMMYSS.

Besides the car running over filled for less then 2 minutes, i never let it even got warm enough to check the engine oil level before i drained it and put the right amount of oil in, but by that time.. Oil seaped through my pipes. While running catless the car was not smoking after hours of idle, untill i revved RPMS it started comming out, which i figured was fine since the excess oil had to burn out... Eventually it stalled out and wouldnt crank over.. a cylinder had been misfiring and my 02s were out.

Hope everything goes smoothly but the tech will likely find oil in places that it shouldn't be. They might want to start tearing into the various nooks and crannies since they will not have know that you overfilled it. I bet they have a simply fix for the oil over fill procedure but then again you ran the engine a bunch trying to make it right after the overfull. Good luck to you.

have you ever seen the inside of a Catalytic Converter? Let alone one of FABspeeds? They are stainless steel cores that are almost like honey combs.

I figured if oil dripped out of my tips, it made its way through my cats... clogging them. I was going to attempt to drill out the race cells, and run it catless since it had such an amazing sound from the turbos when the cats are off

This is what the inside of 996 Turbo stock exhaust looks like. It's ugly.

It sucks that this happened but I have to say are you kidding me? It's a GT1 block, Mezger engine, true dry sump and you're wondering why it has two drain plugs. Sorry, but WTF??? You obviously should have researched this a little before just assuming that it was the same as changing oil on a Honda. I know I sound harsh but it's painful to read this.

Okay, done with that rant. I truely hope this turns out well for you and your car.

You own a shop and you didn't check to see how to change the oil???

"It's shame that these engines are so complicated..."
Anything is complicated if you don't know what you're doing. Owning a shop, I'm sure you know much more about engines than me, but I have changed the oil in my turbo and GT3 many times and it took all of 20 minutes. I actually think it's a shame that you are going to try to pawn off your mistake on the dealership.
