I was flipping through this months Motor Trend and saw a quick review of the new GT3. Looks fantastic. Anyway, what caught my attention was 0-60 of 3.5 sec (vs 4 sec that I read in the earlier tests) This is actually faster than 997.1 turbos tested by some magazines, right? So, is it lighter weight and perhaps better gearing that allows similar performance with a turbo?

 

no don't worry. The TT is faster in every single gear

 

eclou - please don't take this the wrong way but you have one of the best *** I've seen (your sig pict) I need to get that diffuser ASAP

 

I've got both. Totally different feel between the two cars. The GT3 (mine is an RS but close enough) actually feels faster at times but I suspect that objective it isn't. I didn't used to but now that I have the RS I drive the Turbo in sport mode (pasm regular). The Turbo still feels legitimately fast and the torque difference is worlds apart.

 

Brownan - very nice collection of cars! Thanks for the review. I was just pleasantly surprised that a rear wheel drive car with 50 less HP than turbo can do 3.5 sec 0-60 run....
