2005 Turbo vs Turbo S
This is the car. As I said earlier it is a 2004 and not a 2005 which I know is a substantial difference. Muscle, I know this is a similar car to yours. The original MSRP was $126,145.00 US if that helps. The lowest is 57k and it is CPO.

Whoa check these out!
This one is tuned at the same price you're looking at ! Look at that interior! Don't know if it's too extreme for you. Those are GT3 Seats.

This one has a nice contrasting interior exterior, it's a cabriolet like you want ! The priced isn't fixed though, might extend past 60K

Excellent! Looks like you're going to be a fellow 6speeder my man!
One way or another today there's going to be a Porsche in the driveway! I am going to look at an x50 car (03) with 10k miles asking 57k as well. I like that one a lot because it's basically an S car and only a year older than what I was looking at and 1/2 the miles.
autotrader, here's the link. I spoke to the guy and he is now asking 57 but he said he's pretty firm.

Stick with the Turbo S. Find out when the turbo S was manufactured. Was it produced in 2004 on the assembly line or in 2005. If 2005, it would have been hand built off assembly line. These cars are rare and better performers. They were produced from left over parts from 2004.
Ask the owner to look at the driver side door sill, there you will find the manufacturers date. Mine was produced on 5/2005. You will find that around 95% of the 2005 Turbo S cars were produced in 2004.

Those cars have 500lbs of torque with absolutely no traction control whatsoever. The newer ones come with 560lbs.
Just like turbos almost nobody keeps them stock ! So they run 600lbs of torque plus. Many of those cars ignite if in a bad collision or accident; literally catch on fire. Two have happened right here in Kuwait and there aren't that many here to begin with. This is because the headers run right under the cabin and the exhausts exit out both sides.
From 95-2007 they have all had the same problem with heat and those cars even come come with a warning sticker about it.
2008+ saw a change which resolved the issue somewhat and the side sills didn't get as ferociously hot. (Alot of drivers need to touch the side sills to get out given the low seating and wide side sills).
On a track in a controlled environment, where throttle control can be modulated safetly you can have ALOT of fun with that car.
As a daily driver you cannot even begin to compare to the Porsche Turbos in terms of engineering and precision. The turbo is far superior, all due respect to Viper owners.
I have never seen a Turbo owner sell his car for a viper, but have seen many situations where the opposite is applied. I'm sure there must be some out there, but statistically rare.
Viper will always remain a part of automotive history and I cannot wait for 2014 to see what Dodge comes up with, especially now since the viper is now a separate entity with its own team behind it. The new SLS was supposed to be the new viper, Mercedes utilized the chassis for their own car instead.
