Just wanted to throw out there that Driveshaft Shop is finishing the machining on their 1000hp rear axles. We should have stock in 3 weeks. If there are any seriously high hp cars, this is a must. We actually replaced ours because of the amount of play in the carrier. These axles are a direct bolt-in, featuring chromoly 108mm inner and outer CV, with our exclusive chromoly cage/race set, and a 300M bolt-on outer stub to fit the factory hub. The center bars are chromoly and 36 splines, upgraded from the factory 28 spline units. Rated to 1000HP with a 1-year warranty.

At what rated hp do driveshafts become a consideration?

 

800HP I would say. But first if the car is on the lift, grab a driveshaft and see if you have play in yours. From hard launches this can really break them. That is the benefit of the DSS Axles is they have beefed up carriers and will not weaken over time like the OEM.

 

How much do they cost ???
